I have been doing web design and development for a number of years now, both under my own name and under the name “Pixels & Pages.”  This page is a small collection of projects I have worked on, organized by year.  To contact me, please use my contact form.  Please also note that non-web projects (such as those in C# and C++) are not listed here.

Darkboom (In Progress)

Darkboom is an online image processing tool that will let people with websites quickly upload, resize, generate thumbnails, and create XHTML for any number of images. Its strong points are ease of use and the robust PHP code designed to make it easy to install (or at least determine why it cannot be installed) on any server across the Web.

Cartfly.com

As an intern, I developed the prototype website for Ustrive, inc., which you can see in my archives, based on their requirements (for example, they chose the orange color). I also did some Ruby on Rails development and gained experience with the small company/start-up environment. Their current website is at cartfly.com.

Beyond the Classroom

This site was developed for a very satisfied client launching a Tupperware-like business model for educational items. The client provided a lot of the content and the top graphic (drawn by her daughter). I created the overall design and underlying functionalities, including a custom sign-up form and a tool to see which pages visitors frequent before signing up.

Button image generator

This fun (yet powerful) little project dynamically creates images server-side for use on websites.  It can use any fonts, colors, and images you want to create the buttons, even optionally forcing everything to be lowercase or uppercase. I have used this script on a couple projects, such as St. Michael School’s car raffle.  It’s generally subtle – you don’t know that the images are being dynamically created, so I am giving you a chance to see for yourself here!

GHS Computer Club

I wrote the content-management system (and most of the content) for my high-school computer club’s website, which supported multiple skins.

St. Michael School's Car Raffle

This website was developed far a parochial school’s annual car drawing.  I also managed an online advertising campaign for them.  This was their first year selling tickets online, an effort raising thousands of dollars.   (Can you find the hidden picture on the photos page?)

The Sun (Flash)

This was developed as an exercise in Flash back in my early highschool days.
